Special armored vehicle SBM VPK-233136
An SBM [Russian acronym of a special-purpose armoured vehicle - SAV] VPK-233136 TIGR special-purpose armoured car is designed to carry personnel and various cargoes on public roads and over rough terrain and to be used as a means of transportation and a police truck in counter-terrorism and crowd control operations. The car can also be used to carry special-purpose attachments.
SBM VPK-233136 TIGR has a single-space three-door armoured body that affords level 2 by STANAG 4569 protection for the crew. The engine compartment is armoured. All windows are bulletproof and have gun slots. The armoured vehicle has two sunroofs under armoured hatches.
The SBM TIGR is equipped by a YaMZ-53472-10 215hp multi-fuel turbocharged diesel engine.
The new axle design featuring self-locking differentials has markedly improved the armoured car's cross-country performance. The brake system improvements have also boosted performance. The car now has an auxiliary exhaust brake.
For better fire safety, the SBM TIGR has automatic fire suppression systems for the engine compartment and wheels.
The automobile can have custom systems installed for air conditioning, 360-degree view, as well as crash seats and anti-mine mats.
