The VPK Production System operates at all enterprises of the perimeter and is an integral element of all processes. Projects are an effective tool for the production development, while allowing to combine training of people and a system of continuous improvement. The focus of the design teams work is aimed at productivity increasing, finished products quality improving, as well as safety.

When mastering a "heater", a new for the enterprise part, a number of problems arose that prevented the full satisfaction of the needs of the assembly line. To achieve the target productivity of the site, the work sequence of a welder and a locksmith was rebuilt, operations began to be performed in parallel. The working area has been changed: a rotary table has been manufactured, which allows to carry out all welding and assembly operations without transitions. The slipways were made to fully comply with the design documentation and military acceptance requirements.

full satisfaction of the demand for the heater from the assembly line has become the project result.

The development strategy of the holding Production System includes the implementation of 159 projects. Employees of all levels are involved in the continuous development of enterprises – all key employees of the enterprises and the management company implement their own project.

The process of implementation of the Production System and the involvement of personnel in the development of production is inconceivable without training in PS tools. All newly hired employees undergo an introductory course on PS – the concept of the production system, the principles and ideals of PS are given. They are told about kaizen and project activities. The expediency of further training an employee in PS tools is determined by the immediate supervisor, based on the goals and objectives set for the unit. Among other things, a training schedule for the company key employees has been approved – 45 people from among the nomenclature employees will be trained during 2016. To date, 4 trainings have been conducted, 17 employees have been trained. The divisions of the Arzamas Machine-Building Plant were selected as a platform for training. After the observations, filling out standardized work forms, identifying losses, the trainees proposed a number of kaizen to eliminate them. As a result, it was possible to equalize the operators’ workload at the sites, increase productivity, and reduce the level of rejects. The training results are presented to the company first persons, including A.V. Krasovitsky, the Company CEO.
